Council will be removing boulders along Horseshoe Bay Road in Arcadia on Tuesday 14 January 2025 as emergency works. Traffic management will be in place during the removal process. The boulders are being removed following recent heavy rainfall, as they have been identified as a potential risk.

Timing From Tuesday 14 January 2025, for up to one (1) day to complete, weather permitting. Hours
Regular work hours are from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. In exceptional cases, Council may require work outside these hours.

These works are funded by Queensland & Australia Government Disaster Recovery Funding following the recent rainfall event.
As part of this project, Council will:
remove at risk boulders undertake traffic management control in the area for up to four (4) hours
If you live or are travelling through the area you may experience:
stop-go traffic flow for up to four (4) hours, with buses and emergency vehicles having unrestricted access construction machinery and vehicle movements
increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations traffic delays and reduced speed limits
