Council reminds locals about ways to report issues

All it takes is a few clicks of a button to contact council, making it easier than ever to log a job with Council staff.

Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill said there were there are several ways for the community to get in touch with Council staff.

“With COVID-19 continuing to impact our city, Council is reminding locals about the different contactless ways they can contact Council,” Cr Hill said.

“Residents can download the Snap Send Solve app, call our Customer Experience Team, complete the Report a Problem online form or webchat with a Customer Experience team member through Council’s website, email Council or report an issue on Council’s social media.

"Locals can still visit our Customer Service Centre in the city or at the Thuringowa Library, however please ensure you are wearing a mask and you check in.

Cr Hill is encouraging residents to help be the eyes and ears around the community and report any Council-related issues they notice.

“If residents see something Council needs to fix like potholes, leaking sprinkler, graffiti or rubbish then please get in touch with us and don’t assume someone else has reported it or Council knows about it.

”It is important to use Council’s website, email or call our Customer Experience team to let Council know about things that need fixing. Messages left on blogs or community discussion group social media pages aren’t looked at or actioned by Council,” Cr Hill said.

Snap Send Solve can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store.

To speak to someone from the Customer Experience Team, call 13 48 10, emailenquiries@townsville.qld.gov.au or visit Council’s website.
