The LNP has committed to restoring access by road to Radical Bay on Magnetic Island if elected this month.
Restoring functional road access will allow visitors of all physical abilities to once again enjoy the natural wonders of Radical Bay, as well as providing critical emergency response teams with the ability to reach residents if needed.
LNP candidate for Townsville Adam Baillie said the project was part of their focus on working harder for Queenslanders, while under Labor Queensland was heading in the wrong direction.
“By restoring functional road access to Radical Bay, families, residents and visitors alike will be able to enjoy an otherwise inaccessible part of the island,” said Mr Baillie.
“Natural attractions like Radical Bay should not only be accessible to fit, able-bodied visitors.
“The restoration of functional road access to Radical Bay will open up parts of Magnetic Island that are otherwise not accessible to a large section of our community, such as the elderly, young families and those with physical limitations.”
“Labor’s failures have overseen $20 billion-plus in project cost blowouts that could have instead delivered grassroots infrastructure like restoring road access to Radical Bay.”
“Queenslanders should have a government that delivers the programs and services needed for the State’s future, supporting our communities.”
Adam Baillie said Queenslanders could vote for restoring road access to Radical Bay and a government which worked for them, by voting LNP at this election.
“Our state needs a Fresh Start, only the LNP has the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future.”
Who could forget Radical Bay when the Resort was there, a truly amazing spot
