Restoration and upgrade works are going ahead on two Magnetic Island walking tracks until the middle of this year.
Works have started on the Telstra Track (Curlew Flats to Horseshoe Bay sections). QPWS has contracted Living Trails to undertake this project.
The Nelly-Arcadia-Junction track will be undergoing a substantial upgrade starting end of February 2021. FNQ stonework has been contracted to rebuild and restore these tracks in natural stone.
These walking tracks are expected to remain open during construction, however some partial closures may be required at times.
