Based on recent Qld Lockdowns and some questions about MIRW going ahead we wanted to provide an update.
The committee of MIRW meet regularly and are continuing to monitor every situation as it arises. We ARE committed to going ahead for 2021. We have contacted our competing yachts and even though we have lost some of our favourites , we had a waiting list of keen yachties to fill some of the positions.
This means we are still holding a regatta.
All social activities are going ahead as planned and we want to ensure everyone attending that we will be operating under a COVID Safe plan and we need your help to do this.
Check in at each event, Check in on the Marina, Remember to socially distance where possible and wash your hands regularly. If you are feeling unwell get tested and do not attend if you have been in a hotspot. With the event 4 weeks away we know that anything can change but please know we are doing everything to push ahead and are remaining positive that we can achieve that outcome.
