Come along to the Queensland Energy and Jobs Fair in Townsville
organised by the Department of Energy and Public Works and learn more about the opportunities the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan will bring to the region on our pathway to cleaner, affordable, and reliable energy for all Queenslanders.
At the event, Townsville locals can learn about Queensland’s plan to:
build a clean and competitive energy system for Queensland’s economy.
deliver affordable energy for households and businesses.
drive better outcomes for workers and communities.
The event will include displays, kids’ activities, and the chance to win an energy-efficient appliance. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions about energy transformation projects and initiatives in the Townsville region.

About the Plan:
The Queensland Government’s $62 billion plan will deliver new energy infrastructure across the state, with 95% of investment in regional Queensland including Townsville, boosting local jobs and training. It will see 70% renewables by 2032 and 100,000 new jobs in Queensland by 2040.
