REMEMBRANCE DAY

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Australia pauses and observes a minute’s silence in remembrance of those who gave their lives in the service of

our country.

It is the least we can do to honour our fallen.

The Island’s Remembrance Day Service and wreath laying ceremony is being conducted in the grounds of the Magnetic Island RSL Memorial Hall, 31 Hayles Ave, Arcadia.

Guests are invited to assemble from 10.10am for the service to commence at 10.35am.

The Magnetic Island State School has kindly agreed to provide their wonderful choir as a  compliment to the proceedings.

After the ceremony light refreshments will be served in the Memorial Hall.

If you would like to lay a wreath or donate a book suitable for our Magnetic Island State School children, please let us know by 7th November, emailing office@rslmagneticisland.com

We ask that all those who can attend to please join us on this solemn occasion and assist us in ensuring that those who gave their lives for us in war are well remembered and never forgotten.
