Submissions open for Council’s School Holiday Guide

Calling all local businesses, organisations and youth groups in Townsville! With September holidays fast approaching, Townsville City Council is encouraging organisations to get their submissions in for Council’s School Holiday Guide.

Submissions are officially open, with local businesses, organisations and youth groups encouraged to submit their events now for free.

Councillor Liam Mooney, representative for Youth Council said the guide was the ultimate tool for ensuring non-stop fun for families during the holiday period.

“Packed with lots of free or budget-friendly activities and events, the School Holiday Guide is your ticket to keeping children and teenagers happily engaged throughout their break,” Cr Mooney said.

"We cherish our young Townsvillians, and the School Holiday Guide reflects our commitment to their happiness and growth, so we’d love to hear from any local businesses or organisations who have activities planned for the next round of school holidays.”

Councillor Mooney said with educational workshops and adventurous outings, there’s something for every young mind to explore and enjoy in the quarterly publication.

“Townsville City Council is thrilled to showcase favourites like Messy Play in the Park, Art-box, and Riverway Movie Nights, promising enriching experiences for families. But the excitement doesn’t stop there – we’re eagerly awaiting YOUR submissions! Whether you offer sports clinics, creative workshops, or hands-on explorations, we want to hear from you,” Cr Mooney said.

“Activities should suit children up to age 17 and should be no-cost or low-cost, so jump online to submit your activity for free.”

Make sure you get in quick as submissions close 5pm, Friday 28 July. Join us in creating unforgettable memories for Townsville’s youth.
