Police are continuing the search for missing 22-year-old Nelly Bay man, Ben Chisholm on Magnetic Island.
Ben was last seen around 11.30am on Wednesday, July 13 walking towards the Arcadia walking trails and has not been seen or heard from since.
Acting Inspector Mark Camilleri said police were continuing to search for Ben.
“State Emergency Services (SES) will assist police in the search for Ben today,” Acting Insp Camilleri said.
“Thanks to the Australian Defence Force for sending army personnel to assist with the search on Thursday and Friday (July 20-21) with an UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle).
“Thanks also to SES, Rural Fire Service, Parks and Wildlife, Queensland Remote Area Tracking (QRATs) officers, Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), the dog squad and the Townsville police recruits who all joined the search for Ben during the week,” Acting Insp Camilleri said.
